- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Europe Protests. DESCRIPTION: A flame of intense fury against Communist cruelty has swept across the free-world. In Berlin it blazed through a vast gathering at a torchlight meeting. In Rome it was the same, anger and sympathy blended into a grim determination. In Paris, thousands of sympathisers marched to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to pay tribute to Hungary’s fallen. SHOTLIST: Night - Berlin, crowds with torch lights and banners etc. Jostling crowd shots. Day - Rome - similar shots. Paris - Night - marchers, including members of the Government march to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, among them was Messieurs Plevenne, Piret, Bidot and Lanielle. Crowds moving towards Central Committee building of the French Communist Party. Scenes as they break in. They burn books, leaflets etc. Shots of the fire. General shots of the people rioting. Firemen trying to put fire out. Day - shots of refugees, people walking with all their belongings. Shots of children etc.
