- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Elections in India. DESCRIPTION: India has been holding its second General Election. And good old fashioned transport served well as a taxi to the poll. At a Punjab meeting, two hundred thousand people were canvassed by Mr Nehru, who’s been up and down the country, campaigning to ensure success for the Congress Party again. Over 190 million people were entitled to vote, and an identity check was important, to prevent impersonation. SHOTLIST: GV Delhi. Camels. Crowd. Nehru. Women. Stamping of the fingers to tell whether the people have already voted or not.
