Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Unveiling of Singapore Memorial. DESCRIPTION: The Singapore War Memorial, overlooking the Straits of Johore is an impressive token of remembrance. The Governor and Commander-in-Chief Sir Robert Black, went to perform the solemn ceremony of its unveiling. The monument commemorates by name 24,000 men and women of the Commonwealth whose final resting place is not known. SHOTLIST: Shot of the Singapore War Memorial. Shot of Sir Robert Black (Governor and Commander in Chief) walking towards the camera and then shots of him unveiling the memorial. Shots of various flags of the Commonwealth falling to the ground.
