Macmillan down steps and is greeted by Sir John Woodall. Slip pan panning shot along USS Canberra. MCU American flags flying on the ship. Shots of President Eisenhower on board the ship. MLS small launch heading into the harbour at Bermuda. MS of the Queen of Bermuda blowing her horn. Launch reaches harbour. Crowds. President Eisenhower alights from the boat and is greeted by Sir John Woodall. MCU Harold Macmillan shaking hands with Ike. President Eisenhower makes speech - I’m sure that in the next few days we can do much to strengthen the long term bonds that have bound together the British Empire and my country. Our countries are very old friends indeed, and this is a very happy occasion. Not just because of the fact that your Prime Minister and I are very old friends, a fact of which I am very proud of.
