Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mayflower II Sails. DESCRIPTION: Mayflower the Second, almost due to begin her voyage to America, spread her canvas for the first time, when she left Brixham for sea trials in Torbay. This replica of the Pilgrim Fathers’ ship is to be presented to the people of the United States. It’s a goodwill gesture recalling that other voyage in 1620, which did so much towards founding the great American Nation. SHOTLIST: Various aerial shots over the Mayflower at sea.
