- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Salt Harvest. DESCRIPTION: Harvesting time in Colombia, and the crop is salt, produced by the evaporation of sea water trapped in huge man made reservoirs near the shore. This year’s yield of 42,000 tons was a record. SHOTLIST: GV of salt piles. Closer shot of same. CU of a shovel, shovelling the salt. LS. Two Indians with faces blackened for protection against the sun’s rays. One a woman, the other a man. Indian woman walking up serrated plank with a sack of salt on her back, and tipping it onto a large pile. CU of a pair of hands cupped, with large crystals of salt falling through the hands.
