- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Missile Research. DESCRIPTION: In recent years a tremendous advance has been made in the development of guided missiles. And today there’s quite a variety to prove it. The Falcon guided rocket is a neat little air to air weapon that tracks down its quarry and scores a bull’s eye every time. SHOTLIST: Material from 1919 of an early attempt at a rocket. Shots of a rocket being attached to a plane which is on a railway track. Man starts up the plane. Plane along the railway track and collapses. Further experiments - Plane/rocket along track and takes off. Flying in the air. Air to air shots. Modern material - CU rocket. CU rocket taking off. Falcon guided missiles being loaded onto a plane. Plane in flight. Fires rocket at plane and scores a direct hit. Plane in flames.
