Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sports Shorts. DESCRIPTION: It’s Aintree for the Grand National. But there, platforms over the motor racing track were being removed and the switch over from steeple-chasing to Aintree’s other sport, was in full swing. On a lake in Austria, they’ve been holding a sort of water skiing Grand National. Another big event in Austria has been the seven-lap bicycle tour, William Bradley (of Great Britain) won the mountain award, and finished second on this lap. Then to Germany where the world champion trick cyclist, Lilly Yokoi put in some roof-top training. SHOTLIST: Aintree - removing of platform over motor racing track for motor racing. Mrs Topham. Austria - water ski jumping. Bicycle tour, William Bradley won mountain award. Germany - world champion trick cyclist Lilly Yokoi doing some roof top training.
