Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Balloon Story. DESCRIPTION: The high adventure began at the bottom of a pit, four hundred feet deep, in Minnesota. The balloon was about to go up - in which Major David Simmons aimed to rise higher than man had ever gone before. In the event, the flight (which lasted thirty-two hours) was a complete success. A height of about 19 miles was reached, and much scientific knowledge was gained. SHOTLIST: Dr David G Simmons after his balloon ascent. Being checked by doctors.
