MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England V Poland Athletics. DESCRIPTION: At the White City Stadium, a floodlit match sponsored by the Daily Express, England V Poland. England’s women athletes, won their section. Diane Leather leading all the way in the 800 metres. Johnson chalked up a magnificent win for England in the men’s 800 metres. The fifteen hundred metres was won by Ken Wood. Knight won the five thousand metres, and the final points: England 80, Poland 77. SHOTLIST: No shot list.
