- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Golden Medal to Faithful Dog. DESCRIPTION: One day in 1943, a dog left home at a village near Florence, to meet his master, but his master did not come. He had been killed in an air raid. Every day for fourteen years, the dog has gone to the bus-stop to meet his master. And, on their recommendation, the Italian Government have given him a medal as a small token of recognition to a dumb animal, whose loyalty passes human understanding. SHOTLIST: Various scenes of Fido walking from his house to the bus station to meet his master who was killed in an air raid in 1943. Fido is seen lying down at the bus stop waiting for the passengers to alight. Shot of people with umbrellas and Fido being presented with the highest distinction of the Republic the Golden Medal, which is bestowed on soldiers who died in the field of honour.
