MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Shopping Cyprus. DESCRIPTION: Peaceful scenes in the centre of Nicosia, as people went around doing their shopping, were partly the result of gestures of goodwill made by the new Governor. The release of many detainees was one obvious example. SHOTLIST: Shots of main streets in Nicosia with Britons & Cypriots shopping. Shots of shoppers in a leading store.
