Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Negev Desert Development. DESCRIPTION: The Bedouin used to call this place Bir Hissim - that was before young Israelis came to found a settlement and to fit themselves to defend it if need be. It’s a back-breaking job, making the desert bear fruit, but they began symbolically, by changing the name to Beer Ora. SHOTLIST: Shots of the flag raising ceremony in the presence of all members of the settlement. GV Beer Ora situated at the bottom of a canyon.
