Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Report From Malta. DESCRIPTION: Trouble was reported from the George Cross Island, Malta. Mr Mintoff has resigned, again. He gave his explanations of the unhappy situation to the Press. Maltese people, mostly teenagers, were throwing stones. When the police appeared, the youngsters took to their heels. SHOTLIST: Angle shots of streets and crowds. Front shot Government House. Angle shots Mr Dom Mintoff leaves building and is interviewed by press. Riot scenes - crowds run along street. CU rioters around car. SCU section of mob shouting. Top shots various angles. Police chase rioters. LS rioters run down street. MS medical orderly tends eye of wounded soldier.
