Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: London Bus Strike. DESCRIPTION: Streets in London looked very different without the buses, crowding the busy streets. The strike is on and nobody knows for how long. The queues for the Underground are bigger than ever, during the rush hour. People had to organise themselves, to get to and from work. Feet, unaccustomed to walking very far, now went into action. But everyone seemed to manage, alright. Private motorists came to the rescue; in this transport emergency: giving lifts to people, all over the place. SHOTLIST: MS buses pass camera.
