- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: London V Moscow (Boxing). DESCRIPTION: In the Amateur match, sponsored by the Star, at the Royal Albert Hall, Roy Beaman scored one of London’s two only wins over Moscow. He defeated Vladimir Safronov The Welter-weight Bert Coster met his match in Yuri Gromov, who put the Londoner down in the second round. Ray Griffith, light middle-weight, was knocked out in the first round by Anatoly Koromyslov Finally, the Heavyweights: George Page and Andrei Abramov This battle was stopped in the second round.
