Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: State Occasions. DESCRIPTION: President Heuss, returning hospitality, received his guests at the German Embassy. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother arrived with Princess Margaret, the Duchess of Kent with Princess Alexandra. Her Majesty the Queen wore the Federal Republic’s Order of Merit, presented by Dr Heuss. This dinner was one of the highlights of this State visit to Britain. The reception at Lancaster House, where the Foreign Secretary, Mr Selwyn Lloyd, received the guests, was another. Many members of the Royal Family also attended this second event. Her Majesty arrived with the President for this reception, marking the last night of his stay. SHOTLIST: GV interior of Embassy.
