MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Cyprus Talks. DESCRIPTION: London Airport: Greeks and Cypriots had gathered in some force to greet Archbishop Makarios who, on arrival, was quite prepared to make a statement. The Cyprus Conference was being held at Lancaster House, and the first arrival was Mr Selwyn Lloyd, presiding at the opening session. The Colonial Secretary, Mr Lennox Boyd, was an important member of the British delegation. Then, Archbishop Makarios arrived to represent the Greek Cypriot community. The Turkish Cypriot minority had, as its chief representative, Dr Kutchuk. Mr Selwyn Lloyd, who laid down four essential points, was supported by the Colonial Secretary and Sir Hugh Foot.
