- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England V France. DESCRIPTION: Rugger, and England at home to France at Twickenham. France were confident after their defeat of Scotland and were hoping to become champions of the Five Nations this season, for the first time. It was France who scored first, but England lost no time in making a strong bid to wipe out those three points and they worked away very hard right to the end. The result: a draw.
