- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Olympic Preview. DESCRIPTION: Excellent progress on the preparations for the 1960 Olympic Games is reported from Rome. The plans, first executed in model form, provide for a sports palace, a velodrome and a stadium, where athletes from all over the world will compete. There’s all the accommodation for them to be built: a whole Olympic village. Over to Hobart: racing in the hundred and ten yards sprint, just after winning the mile, wonder-swimmer Konrads was led by Davitt, the favourite, up to and after the turn. In one of the most amazing finishes ever seen, victory goes to Konrads. We’ll be seeing him at Rome! SHOTLIST: GV Olympic site (Italy). GV pan same. GV proposed swimming pool. SCU model of site.
