Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wedding on a Wire. DESCRIPTION: La Rochelle in France saw a wedding with a difference: the young couple are both stars of the tightrope. The groom is 19 year old Roland Schmidt and his bride Francine Pary. So they got married on the high wire. Monsieur Bergac performed the ceremony from a fireman’s ladder. SHOTLIST: Small harbour scene (key). LS crowds line the rivers edge. TS bride & groom arrive. Ground level MS same. TS same arrive at fire escape ladder. LS groom climbs the ladder.
