- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blizzard Hits the North. DESCRIPTION: Scotland’s been suffering its worst blizzard for ten years. So heavy was the snowfall that four trains were held up. These pictures show one on the Perth-Aberdeen line, being dug out, when our cameraman flew over. Over 30 main roads have been blocked, and traffic very seriously disrupted. Six deaths due to the blizzard are reported. SHOTLIST: Aerial snow covered country (3). Aerial - snow bound train on Perth - Aberdeen line. Aerial traffic snow bound. Same. Aerial isolated farm.
