Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Runaway Train. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures tell the story of the train that ran away, out of control, at Royton, Lancashire. It crashed through buffers, a reinforced wall, across a street and through 3 houses. In the course of its extraordinary escapade, the train lifted an elderly couple in their bed, carried them through 2 walls of their home, and then dumped them on the debris! Altogether, 6 people were injured. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS carriage in house. Pan up same MS same LS same. MS fireman. MS fireman in wreckage. GV searchers in wreckage. MLS searchers clearing debris.
