Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lisbon Riots. DESCRIPTION: The trouble in Lisbon began quietly enough. A protest against the way America voted at UNO on the subject of Angola (Portuguese West Africa). But there seemed to be protests about many other things as well, and presently, the crowd switched from its march to the City Hall, directing its anger at anything American. The police had the situation more or less in control. SHOTLIST: Key Scene. GV crowds holding banners. LS banner. MS banner (x2). GV crowds. GV same start moving. LS another. GV another. LS crowds chanting. LS police holding back crowds outside embassy. LS same (x2). LS youth breaks through cordon.
