- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Spring Cleaning. DESCRIPTION: One of the locks on the Murray River in Victoria is due for a spring clean. The gates are opened to allow three billion gallons of water to escape. The part of the lock normally under water must be re-coated with protective material and carefully inspected for signs of corrosion. The whole job takes two months. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
