Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Visiting Paris. DESCRIPTION: The Shah of Iran was beginning his three day state visit to France. Here, he is seen in conversation with President de Gaulle. Meanwhile, for Queen Farah, an early engagement was a visit to a Paris Kindergarten. A reception at the Elysee was a more formal occasion. There were over a thousand guests. And there was to be a banquet for two hundred, later that night. On the second day, Queen Farah went to the Louvre. Paris, at this time, was staging a national handicrafts exhibition, the first of its kind here. Comedy in stained glass, alongside the ancient art of wood carving. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
