Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Foam Fire Fighters. DESCRIPTION: An experiment was carried out at the Fire Research Station, designed to show how scientific research is coming to the aid of fire-fighters. This is a really up-to-the-minute fire-extinguisher, mounted on a lorry, a jet engine forces a mixture of inert gas and foam through a long trunk. The foam cuts off the supply of oxygen, and in a few moments, the fire is completely blotted out. SHOTLIST: MS man sets alight tank containing inflammable liquid. MS pan men at controls of fire fighter. MS tank alight - foam is sprayed over liquid. MS foam rises to grilling. CU pan foam. MCU pan foam rises to ceiling. MS foam floating around inside building.
