- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Leading Ladies. DESCRIPTION: We visited Covent Garden’s Royal Opera House, to watch a fashion show with the Queen Mother. The show was put on by the Society of London Fashion Designers, including Michael Sherard, Charles Creed, Lachasse, Norman Hartnell, Hardy Amies, John Cavanagh and Victor Stiebel. Act One presented some suggestions for Mornings about Town, with the focus on tweed. Act Two: a North of the Border look for afternoons. Act Three - a night at the opera. And a First Night Finalé.
