- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flour V Soot. DESCRIPTION: One of the sporting events over the holiday began with a procession at Waltham Cross and a collection for an Old Peoples’ Charity. It was the prelude to a slapstick football match between the Bakers and the Sweeps, which has been held for over a half a century. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS poster on the back of person Baker V Sweeps. LS bakers and sweeps walking along some carrying posters. Various shots of same - some with big hats on. MS man in fireman’s hat collecting money at house door. MS kid collecting money in a hat from couple in street. LS football match between the bakers and the sweeps in progress. LS bakers covering the sweeps in flour. Shots of same. LS man runs out with ball under his arm - more flour is thrown. LS man kicks ball another runs with it under his arm. MS young boy throwing soot - more flour is thrown.
