Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bookies Feel the Draught. DESCRIPTION: The sport of kings is, of-course, the livelihood of the bookies, and they are the common denominators between the horses and the public. Snow and ice have already caused the cancellation of over 40 cards this season, so spare a thought for the poor bookie, who’s been feeling the draught from the big freeze! One enterprising chap in Doncaster started mouse racing, but these events have now been called off at the request of British mouse lovers. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
