Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rescue and Relief. DESCRIPTION: Horrific perhaps, but a vivid illustration of the aftermath of a nuclear attack. In fact it’s exercise Leader 10, first of several large-scale Civil Defence exercises designed to test Casualty Evacuation Plans. This one covered South West London, and more than a 1,000 volunteers took part. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS bombed building and girl lying in debris. MS couple lying in debris.
