- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sorting at Speed. DESCRIPTION: Preston in Lancashire, handling some six million parcels a year, is one of the most important mail centres in Britain. At the new sorting office alongside the railway station, they’ve installed a parcel sorting system which could well be adopted all over the country. Dealing with eighteen hundred parcels an hour, the machine is controlled by an electronic brain which helps the staff to route the parcels towards their destination. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
