- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: All in the Air. DESCRIPTION: Corporal John White, operations clerk at an RAF station, and his brothers bought a Hawk Trainer for £350, which they keep at Coventry Airport. John will soon qualify for his private pilots licence, and he must surely be the only Corporal in the RAF who’s able to say: I got my own wings. The Flying Packing Case - or as it should be called - the Turbo Skyvan - has been developed by Short Brothers at Belfast. It’s been designed to play a world-wide role as an all purpose light transport. Another aircraft with a future is Short Brothers huge Belfast Freighter. Now, a jet version is planned, which could carry 275 troops and their equipment or over 340 passengers. The Ski Plane Service in New Zealand will carry tourists right into the Alpine heart of South Island. It offers a spectacular scenery, and lands you right on the ice field. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
