- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Loch Ness - Monsters With An Appetite. DESCRIPTION: After a 230 mile sea journey, these monster digesters had been towed down the Caledonian Canal and through Loch Ness to Corpach basin. The 50 ft long digesters, each weighing 40 tons, are used for cooking wood chips with chemicals to separate the fibre for making paper at a new pulp and paper mill at Fort William.
