MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Prison Riot Has Stormy Sequel. DESCRIPTION: Pictures show Mount Eden Jail in Auckland, New Zealand, where more than two hundred rioting convicts were besieged by warders and police. The rioters caused much destruction including setting alight the prison. Eventually they were brought under control, but some prisoners were removed to another prison in Christchurch, where they inspired another riot. SHOTLIST: GV pan Mount Eden Jail in Auckland.
