Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: African Runs Third Fastest Mile. DESCRIPTION: At the White City, the Morley Mile. The winner was Kipchoge Keino of Kenya who won the race in 3 minutes 52.4 seconds, the third fastest mile in history. SHOTLIST: MCU Kipchoge Keino with Kiprugut. CU Kipchoge Keino. MS runners lining up for start. CU starter firing pistol. LS pan runners away from start. MS crowd. LS pan Derek Ibbotson leading, as they come up to the last lap. Ibbotson drops out and Kiprugut takes over lead. CU man with binoculars. MCU pan Kipchoge Keino takes over lead on last lap. LS pan Kipchoge Keino romping home. MCU Kipchoge Keino breaks tape followed by 2nd and 3rd. CU Kipchoge Keino. MS ditto. Also running were:- Alan Simpson and Josef Odlozil.
