Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Who Can Beat Butty?. DESCRIPTION: Butty Sugrue, licensee of the Admiral Nelson in Kilburn, is offering £500 to any publican in Europe, over forty years old, who can equal his strength. Before he took over the Admiral Nelson, Butty was a circus strongman and a professional wrestler. SHOTLIST: CU man starting motor bike and getting onto it. MS man on bike pan to Butty stopping bike with rope fixed to bike and between his teeth. CU man’s hand on clutch handle. CU man’s hand on accelerator twist grip. MS Butty with rope between his teeth stopping bike. MS bike is driven off after rope breaks. CU men drinking inside the Admiral Nelson. MS Butty Sugrue lifting up barrel of beer. CU man watching. MS Butty lifting up chair with woman sitting on it, with his teeth. MS people applauding. MS Butty lifting up three men. MS Butty lifting two customers up and takes them towards door.
