MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Marines Honour Mountbatten. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Marines parade at Eastney Barracks to honour Earl Mountbatten of Burma on his appointment as a Colonel Commandant. The purpose was to show Earl Mountbatten the various roles of the Marine of the Sixties. Prince Philip, the Earl’s nephew, acted as host during the parade.
