Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Schoolboy Coastguards. DESCRIPTION: Battisborough School, near Plymouth in Devon was founded eight years ago on the lines of Gordonstoun. It has an unusual out of class unit, run by the boys themselves. Pictures show a demonstration in cliff rescue, with one of the pupils acting the victim of a cliff accident. They work closely with the local Coastguard Units and in bad weather help to keep a watch over Plymouth Sound. SHOTLIST: GV Battisborough School. MS boys take cliff rescue gear from locker.
