Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lifesavers for a Queen. DESCRIPTION: New Life jackets, filled with Polyurethane Foam, have been chosen for the latest Cunarder, Queen Elizabeth the Second. SHOTLIST: MS girl jumps off diving board into swimming pool - wearing new life-jacket. GV interior factory at Wallasey which makes the new jackets - man putting polyurethane foam into moulds. MCU foam put into mould. CU ditto. MLS foam blocks being made. CU foam rising in mould. MS man stacking foam blocks. Top shot large foam block being cut on machine. MLS women laying out material which will cover foam blocks. MCU pieces of material being sewn together. MCU foam blocks put inside covering material. MS girl having new life-jacket tied onto her - she then jumps into swimming pool - and floats face upwards in the water. Life jackets for QE2.
