Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pigeons Travel in Style. DESCRIPTION: The rising cost of sending homing pigeons to their departure points by rail prompts London fanciers to buy a road transporter. It can carry nearly four thousands birds - and provides room service during the trip. SHOTLIST: Pan with pigeon as it flies into loft. CU pigeon held in hand. MS pigeons in travelling boxes being loaded onto lorry. CU travelling box being loaded onto lorry. MS ditto. MS box being loaded onto lorry which is now full. MS man in back window of lorry drinking tea. MS notice North London Federation Racing Pigeon Transportation. MS pan with lorry as it drives through the night. MS men (2) in lorry walk past pigeon boxes (day). MS lorry arrives at destination. MS & CU men prepare to release birds from lorry. MS pigeons flying off lorry. MS pan with birds as they fly away.
