Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Epilogue to Tragedy. DESCRIPTION: Work is underway to salvage what remains of the cargo of the New Zealand ferry Wahine, which foundered earlier this year at the entrance to Wellington Harbour. We recall the dramatic pictures of the tragedy, while salvage crews lift the rusted remains of the cars which have been inside her water-logged holds for over half a year.
