DESCRIPTION: The American Space Programme suffers a severe blow as Apollo Thirteen runs out of power and must by brought down without completing the scheduled Moon Landing. A last minute switch of astronauts after a german measles scare, had already branded the thirteenth Apollo flight as unlucky. But the blast-off went without a hitch.
