- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: German Grand Prix. DESCRIPTION: Austrian racing driver Jochen Rindt wins the German Grand Prix by seven tenths of a second from challenger Jacky Ickx. A great battle over 210 miles, but the victory gives Rindt an almost unassailable lead in the World Championship. SHOTLIST: GV start of race zoom out as they race up straight. SV cars round bend pan to BV. SV crowd. LAS cars towards No 10 Jacky Ickx followed by No 2 Jochen Rindt followed by Nos 12 & 15 and others. LV cars round bend pan on No 21. SV No 10 followed by No 2 in cloud of dust. GV ditto. LAS cars through dust. GV cars round bend past massed crowds. CU pan No 10 Ickx round bend followed by Nos 15 and 2. CU women watching. GV No 10 Ickx down straight followed by No 2 Rindt. CU pan Ickx in the lead. CU pan Rindt following. CU girls watching. CU pan No 2 Rindt in lead. CU pan No 10 Ickx. SV Jackie Stewart walks away from car after mechanical trouble. CU No 2 followed by No 10. GV zoom in to No 2 over finish at 128’ and No 10 close behind. CU Jackie Stewart dejected. SV crowd. SV Rindt and Ickx on winners rostrum. Rindt is winner.
