- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Amateur Cup Final. DESCRIPTION: Skelmersdale United and Dagenham do battle in the Amateur Cup at Wembley. It was the Skems last match in the amateur league before turning professional next year and what a valedictory...a four one win over the unlucky Dagenham. It was the second time that Dagenham has reached the final and has been defeated. SHOTLIST: CU ball on spot. Referee with captains, toss up coin - Skems win. CU rosette Skems, ditto Dagenham. GV Skems kick off right to left Skems attack. Ground shot Skems kick, but Dag save. GV Dag attack - kicks at 48’ over bar. CU referee. Skems into attack build up. SCU spectators. Skems 1st goal by Ted Dickin shoots. TV celebrations. Scoreboard. Man carried off on stretcher Dag No 11. GV Skems attack. SV ball into net for 2nd goal (Ted Dickin). Ground shot pan Skems No 12 heads (Andy Windsor) goal in - and celebrating. SCU scoreboard Dag 1, Skems 3. Skems attack - shoot 3rd goal at 147’. SV captain receives trophy and shakes hands. SCU spectators. GV running around with cup. Captain holds cup on head.
