- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Slippery Pole Championship. DESCRIPTION: At Marseillan, in France, contestants attempt to walk a greasy pole so as to win the Capellet, a hat of honour. SHOTLIST: LS top hats at end of pole. CU top hats. GV pan contestants to hats at end of pole. MS as contestant runs up pole - slips off and into water. LS contestant walks along pole, falls into water. CU man swimming to shore. MS contestant climbs out of water, another runs up pole & falls in. CU contestant falling into water.
