MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Chinese Ambassador. DESCRIPTION: The first Chinese Ambassador to visit this country, Sung Chih Kuang - presented his credentials to Her Majesty. This diplomatic move is looked upon as a raising of the Bamboo Curtain and closer relations with the Chinese People’s Republic. SHOTLIST: GV Chinese Embassy Portland Place, London W1. CU sign in Chinese and also in English Embassy. SV Marshal’s coach arriving outside Chinese Embassy. CU emblem and number 31 over doorway. SV pan the Marshal (Major General the Honourable Sir Michael Fitzlan Howard) steps from coach & goes into Chinese Embassy. SV 2 policemen on security. Angle shot 2 policemen on roof. SV 4 members of Chinese delegation leaving Embassy. CU coach attendant holding door open. SV Marshal leaving Embassy followed by Chinese Ambassador Sung Chih Kuang. SV Ambassador waves to press.
