- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soccer Season Starts. DESCRIPTION: A new season starts, almost before the old season ends. A bonanza year for the large clubs, and possibly empty terraces for the lower divisions. In the 3rd Division game, Watford play Tranmere Rovers. SHOTLIST: Watford v Tranmere Rovers SCU pan up rosettes on stall. CU Watford rosette. SV 3 men looking at a sports paper. AS sign om post Your Football Papers Back Again, pan down to kids going into ground. BV tracking shots kids go through turnstiles. SV Tranmere team coming out onto pitch. SV pan to BV, Watford team coming out. CU ball on centre spot. LV pull back to GV as Watford kick off from right to left and kick ball up field (No 8 kicks off No 4 - Mick Keen, clears up field). LV Tranmere No 9 trying to dribble ball past Watford No 5. SV Tranmere No 9 dribbles past Watford No 10 and kicks towards goal but ball cleared by defender. SV fans applauding. GV pan Watford attacking Tranmere goal, ball goes in for goal to Watford, scored by Jimmy Lindsay. SLV tussle in mid-field, Watford player clears up field. SV injured Watford player sitting on ground being attended by trainer. GV pan general play Watford attacking.
