DESCRIPTION: The XX Olympic Games in Munich are officially opened - the traditional March Past of the competing teams, culminating in the lighting of the Olympic Flame by 18 year old Gunter Zahn. SHOTLIST: LV zoom back - Greek athletes parade round stadium. SV French team past. LV zoom in to SV British team past. SV British men take off hats as they pass grand stand. LTV Indian team parading. GV crowds cheering (Japs). GV Japanese team. GV stadium, Japanese team parading. SLV Moroccan team. GV Mexicans. GV Polish team. LTV American flag being carried in front of team. GV American team parading. GV stadium teams lined up in centre. SV Federation President Dr Gustav Heinemann making opening speech. SV Olympic flag. SV Willi Brandt, Prince Rainier and Princess Grace sitting watching. TV Mexican dancers. SV Mexicans carrying Olympic flag. SV group of Nigerians. SV Avery Brundage passes flag to Mayor of Munich after receiving it from Mayor of Mexico City. LV Africans in crowd watching. SV pigeons released from crates. LV pan as they fly over stadium. LV pull back. GV as torch bearer runs into stadium. SV crowd watching and applauding. LV zoom in as torch bearer leaves track & runs towards steps, zoom back as he starts to climb steps. SV pan as he runs up last few steps to tape, runs along platform. LV as he runs up to bowl, stops and turns towards crowd with torch held up. GV crowd watching. SV as he lights flame and stands back with torch held high. CAS Olympic flame burning. AS torch bearer standing by Olympic flame.
