LV No 8 Express Air Rider (3rd) No 3 and others in background. SCV No 8 being prepared. GV St Margaret Mary on bow of No 8. GV Warriner School on side of No 9, smallest craft in race (1st). SV No 9. GV driver of No 9 Kevin Wright, putting on helmet. LV No 6 (2nd place) being prepared, cross channel hovercraft in background. SV driver of another craft gets into cockpit. GV controls. SLV pan No 8 away down beach and into sea. GV boy watching through glasses with father. SLV pan No 8. GV pan No 3 away down beach into sea. SV Lady Elworthy (in centre) watching. SV pan No 6 away. Air view No 6. SV spectators. SLV pan No 6 at speed. LV flag goes down, pan to No 9 as it starts away. GV woman watching through binoculars. LV towards and pan No 8 coming in to finish in 3rd place.
